Morpheus sat in the fields, knees tucked to his chest. a few will-o-wisps hovered nearby as he sat in quiet thought.

Shadow wandered up, his wings lazily hanging from his lanky frame. "Hey Morph." Shadow said sitting down next to the boy quietly.

Morpheus waved "hi" over his shoulder then went back to watching nothing as he idly messed w his hood.

"Grass check checking for grass." Shadow said jokingly in his best commando voice in hopes of amusing the boy. "Everything alright?"

Morpheus just shrugged before leaning on shadow, seeming tired. his face was hidden by his hood but it was obvious that the boy was feeling down.

Shadow wrapped a wing around the boy sighing softly. "What's wrong bud?" Shadow asked gently, tugging on the corner of the ring of flowers that encircled his head, and slightly adjusting the one that rested over the empty socket of his eye.

"...are you sure Kat is going to be okay?" Morpheus asks quietly.

Shadow sighed. "No." He said softly. "I'm not sure of anything anymore. "But I don't know what else to do. The wolves are doing their best but even Onyx didn't know what to say." He continued seemingly distressed.

Morpheus was quiet for a minute, worry and doubt filling his mind.
"I wish she hadn't died." He speaks eventually, hiding newly falling tears with his hood. "I wish things didn't have to change like this."

Shadow held the boy close, yawning. "I know..I wish I could just go back and change things..." He said trailing off. "Maybe we could talk to Six..." Shadow mumbled more to himself.

Morpheus sniffled quietly, trying to wipe the tears off his face with his sleeve half-heartedly. "Would that work?" he asks quietly in response to shadows mumbling.

Shadow shifted lightly. "We'd have to go through time. And the risks of dealing with Time and my brother would be insanely high. Kat gave up why was left of her soul for me. Time could just take it away. I-I don't know." Shadow said his face hard.

"Why don't we go...talk to Six, you and me. And we can go from there ok?" Shadow suggested wrapping an arm around the boy.

Morpheus nodded quietly, glad that there was at least a little hope now.
"Where is six again?" The small boy asks."And how do we get there?"

Shadow stood. "Uhhhh well there's a little ceremony we gotta do if we want to guarantee he'll show. He's sketchy sometimes. We should go do it in the woods so no one sees. Would really suck if he got the wrong idea. Six is defensive." Shadow said scratching his neck and standing, offering a hand to his friend.

Morpheus took his hand and got ready to follow. "Ok... what does it involve?" He asks quietly.

"Some fire, a little blood, and some herbs from my uncle's garden and wishful thinking." Shadow said beginnging to walk towards the tree line.

Morpheus followed closely, not speaking but seeming a bit uneasy.

Shadow lad them several minutes into the tree line and stopped looking around. "This is probably ok. Can you start a little fire?" Shadow asked pawing through his belt.

"Uhm, maybe..." Morpheus replies before beginning to gather some nearby sticks and dry leaves. Once he had a decent pile formed he stood nearby and attempted to start a fire like he had done so many times before by accident. It took a minute, but soon smoke began to rise from the pile and a small fire formed.

"Perfect." Shadow said softly. He pricked his finger with a knife and let 6 drops of blood fall into the orangey glow, hissing as they met the flame. He stuck that finger into His mouth and emptied his other hand over the fire, several dried and brightly colored plants drifted into the flame. "Engrigh." Shadow murmured over the flame.

Morpheus watched quietly from where he stood nearby. He wondered if this would actually work and hoped things could go back to how they used to be.

After a moment Shadow sat, watching the flame idly. "He'll show when the fire burns out on its own." He explained for a moment. "Dude have you ever had a smore?" He asked eyes wide.
