"W-well then... I guess there's nothing else to do but wait really..." Kat's sister says quietly as Joker shoves Ram into the room.
"Idiot's going to freeze to death out here." He mutters to them before Distortion's head pokes through the door. "er-, is she going to be okay?" He asks quietly.

Shadow looked over, startled from his own thoughts. "Hope so..." Shadow whispered his face contorting for a moment. He felt so tired and bitterly weak though he kept his eyes open through force.

Distortion and Joker remain outside, while Katia, Bella, and Ram sit by the bed or by the fire. Zey curled up next to Kat. They all just sat, waiting, worry showing from everyone but Ram.

Shadow went outside for a moment nudging Joker. "Go inside Joke. Your going to freeze to death." Shadow said, glad to feel the cool crisp air on his skin.

He laughs shortly. "If I am I don't feel it and it doesn't matter. I've replaced my body more times than i can remember. Send Distortion inside, I know he's more worried than I am." He speaks.

Shadow looked to distortion and nodded to the door. "Go on inside. I need some air anyways my friend." He said his voice cracking slightly.

He nods, shaking some snow off of his feathers and shedding a few fore shifting forms to something closer to human and heading inside. The members of his little group that had come along sat in a circle near where he had been, speaking quietly amongst themselves. It was made up of the two little girls from before, something like a disfigured, monstrous, crow, and something sitting a few feet away from the others, dripping something dark while black fumes rose from him. He looks over, bright green eyes shining out from the otherwise dimly colored group.

Shadow sat on the edge of his wings, protecting him from the snow. He leaned back against the cabin and closed his eyes wrapping himself up in the feathery blackness. He fell asleep, his eyes turning a light gray resembling a blind man.

It was several hours before anything happened. Joker prods Shadow awake with a frozen claw. "Come on, she's waking up." he says, knowing he'd want to see her.

Shadow Jerked awake standing tiredly. He shook the ice out of his wings and folded them before stepping inside. He sat down next to Kat taking her hand. "Hey lazy bones." Shadow said trying to lighten her spirits. "Look at you. Sleeping all day. That's no way to be." He joked.

"Merrrr... And I'm still tired..." She wheezes, voice scratchy. "I don't think I want to fight again for a while..." She adds lightly before coughing a bit, a thin trail of blood dripping from the corner of her mouth once more.

"That makes two of us." Shadow said wiping the blood away with some random cloth from the bottom of his belt. "Need anything?" He asked feeling much more relaxed now that she was getting better.

"No, I'm fine." She replies quietly, coughing a bit more. "...Just want to sleep a bit if I can..."

"Go ahead. No one's stopping you. I'm gonna run home real quick and get a drink or I'm gonna pass out. I'll be right back." He said planting a kiss on her forehead. He went outside and stomped on a pearl, landing on his porch. He went inside and grabbed a few cases shoving them in a backpack along with another change of clothes for both him and Kat.

Shadow returned to the aging crest on Katia's porch. He took a bottle out of the pack and downed it feeling slightly better. He went back inside siting in the corner watching her a fond look in his eyes.

Kat had fallen asleep, and Bella was gently cleaning around her wounds with a cloth. Distortion sat between Katia and Ram, not sure what to do.

"So are the fights always like that? I'd be a walking anxiety attack if I was a part of all of that." Shadow said sipping another bottle idly looking around at everyone.

"I wouldn't know..." Katia says, thinking. Distortion speaks up. "Er-, um, They are mostly like that... This one was actually rather organized, civil." He says, setting his half-mask aside, sharp teeth showing now. "I've seen them get really bad before though..."

Shadow stared at him open mouthed. "You call that good? Lord I could never be a demon, no offense I mean I didn't...." Shadow said trailing off awkwardly wishing he had kept him mouth shut.

"It's fine, and yeah, that was a good one. Trust me. One time I was in a fight and it all erupted into something huge. How I met some of my group actually. It was like a small war." He says, reflecting on fights past.
Ram was listening curiously, still hidden behind his mask.

Shadow nodded then turned to Ram. "So what's your story. You haven't said ten five words to me and your always sulking around." Shadow said not trying to be offensive in anyway though he didn't truly mind if he had been. The rush of energy had flooded him with energy and reloaded his cocky nature.

"Here's your words: As I said before, nothing much." he replies calmly, voice distorted by his mask as usual. "Nothing worth talking about at least."

Shadow laughed lightly seeing a bit of himself in Ram. He turned to Joker and raised his eyebrows in question still glancing back at Kat's sleeping form from time to time.

Joker shrugs. "Tell you the truth, I don't even know. Kid's got his mouth sewn shut when it comes to his past. I don't really mind it though." He says.
