"Yeah really. I brought Alyss along...I think he's scared" Shadow said laughing lightly. The air didn't see so tight down in the demonsplace. Silas could get there just as simply and attack just as easily though for some reason Shadow felt safer down here. He wrapped his arm around Kat and smiled gently, feeling rather tired.

"You did?" She asks before noticing the cat peeking out of Shadow's bag. "You okay?" She asks him. He nods feebly before curling back up in the backpack. Kat was quiet for a moment before speaking again, turning back to Shadow. "Well at least only demons can get into the demonsplace..." Kat comments, thinking. "There really is no other way here." She continues.

Shadow scoffed slightly looking as his shoes as he walked. "You don't know my father." Shadow said the word bitter in his mouth. "He can get anywhere he wants and back again. Some places just take him longer. I think I'm starting to remember him more. When I was little. He wasn't totally out of the picture like I thought. I think These loops are bringing some of that back. " He explained kicking at the red dust on the ground. "And just as a heads up...you're not going to want to be anywhere near me when the last loop comes around. It lasts 24 hours and will revolve around the most negative energy carrying event that ever occurred in my life. I don't want you to witness that. I don't want you to get...hurt again..." HE whispered feeling responsible for the past event that had happened.

Kat was quiet. "Well what are we supposed to do then?..." She says quietly, not sure what to say now.

"Hope for Silas to show up first and then have the capability to return to the earth ground to loop about." Shadow said simply fixing his glasses on his nose. He tried pulling his wings in tighter his back beginning to throb again.

Kat just nods quietly, her gaze ahead of them, where the light from the troupe's torches began to fade. Alyssium wriggles around in Shadow's backpack.

Shadow stopped and pulled the cat out of his bag, set him on the ground and returned to the somber walk. "I didn't mean for this to be so depressing. I just wanted to walk around with you cuz I'm stupid and there's alwayegilawfhb.......Sentence." Shadow said looking away slightly embarrassed at his incapability, blushing stupidly.

Alyssium stuck close to their legs, glancing around nervously.
"It's alright. And we've still got the chance. Just went through more depressing stuff first, tis all." She says with a light smile.

Shadow nodded trying to think of what to say. "So how about that airline food." He said his voice cracking mid sentence, an awkward grin dancing on his lips.
(shadow awkwardness level fifty billion)

"Never been on a plane actually." Katia answers, smiling as well.

Shadow laughed silently holding his head in his hands. "ohmygodit'shighschoolallloveragain" He slurred looking ahead or anywhere but her as his face turned a bright scarlet.

Kat laughs lightly, a light blush appearing on her cheeks.
Alyssium, through with being out in the open, hops up and wriggles back into Shadow's backpack, preferring to hide in there for a while longer.

Shadow laughed as Alyss jumped into his pack. He took Kat's hand swinging it idly. "So how old are you?" Shadow asked a stupid look on his face. The chain around his neck bounced and swung gently as they walked through the warmer air.

"fifteen, turning sixteen... sometime soon actually..." she answers thoughtfully.

Shadow smiled slightly having though he was younger than her. Though not literally unless demons lived that long. Shadow was roughly 324 years old give or take though he gauged his age by his appearance therefore he was now roughly 18. "Huh." He said thoughtfully. "I would have thought you were older." He said laughing a little.

"I get that a lot actually." Katia comments. "Though in my family we're not sure if that's bad or good at the moment...." She continues, mind beginning to wander slightly.

Why would it be a bad thing? Age doesn't have anything to do with ranking or anything does it?" Shadow asked fixing his glasses on his nose. He tended to mess with them more now, adjusting them every few minutes or so to make sure no one could see his eye. He hated not having a pair on around Kat. He thought she hated his eye. If he was self conscious before he was mortified now.

"Life expectancy. Here it varies from a week to who knows how long..." She explains. "And the thing is, there isn't really a way to tell..." She continues. "Especially not with me being half-blooded..."

"So you're afraid that because of your genes your gonna die faster? Even soon?" Shadow said hiding the fear in his voice ans he kicked larger clouds of dust up in front of them as the circled the troupe. He watched the demons milling about and decided he would go and talk to Joker or Distortion about it tonight after Kat fell asleep.

"Possibly... We don't actually know yet..." She says, still deep in her thoughts. "Could be nothing though... " she finishes, pushing the thought from her mind.

Shadow shrugged and shoved his hands in his pockets. "As long as you're not worried about it." Shadow said still concerned. "You wanna go see if we can help Kaz set up or something?" Shadow said eager to help.

Kat nods. "Yeah sure. Though it looks like they're nearly done setting up." She replies as they head back towards the grounds.

Shadow walked up to Kazia and was sure to scuff his feet a little to announce his presence so as not to startle the seer. "Need anything Kaz? Anything I can do to help?" offered, his wings now pulled tightly against his throbbing back.

"Not at the moment, but if you want to help I'll find something~ For now go make yourself at home. We've set up all the tents~ You and Kat are going to be staying in the dark blue and teal one next to my tent and Joker's~" She explains warmly.

Shadow thanked her and walked back to Kat."Kaz says our tent's set up so we can go unload stuff. Well I can unload stuff. And I could do a thing for Alyss. "Shadow said stealing her elbow and walking over to the blue and teal tent Kaz had mentioned smiling gayly.
