Shadow sighed softly. "Then I don't have a choice at all. I guess we just protect her body until the changelings come." he breathed pulling a blanket over her with great care.
(that took way to long to write)

"Alright... we'll see how things turn out then I guess..." distortion responds quietly. kazia quietly rested her head near Kat's, going quiet as she retreated to other thoughts. Joker entered the tent silently, seeming tired somehow.

Shadow turned, "I'll be back." he whispered. He left the tent in silence unable to be around Kat's lifeless corpse any longer. He retrieved his belt and pearled back to his house not bothering to put on real clothes rather than the rags, or shoes for that matter before beginning his run through the snow. Shadow ran as fast as he could, the cold biting at his bare flesh as the moon watched him in silence. He ran until his lungs hurt and his body ached and then he ran faster. He began a low rumble then a deep growl which developed into an all out scream of anger and agony as he ran ruts into a ring in the snow around his house.
When he simply could not carry himself any further he fell into the snow, wishing clawing at his skin as tears rolled down his patchy red cheeks. He desperately wanted to tear up his wrists and his ribs before he could breath again. Shadow sat in the snow cursing himself for his stupidity. Though deep down he was not truly sorry. He was just content for being mentally and physically numb. Part of him wished to lay there and die. As once again he was not enough to save her. He was not enough to keep her from King. He was not enough to protect her from Creacher and the changelings. He was not enough to protect her in the least. Hell she was probably safer if he wasn't around. He lie there in the snow these things running though his mind as he watched his breath seep into the air.
(so ive decided not to kill him.)

The group in the demonsplace simply sat in silence within and around the tent that Kat was in, either joker or distortion keeping guard at all times and Kazia singing her darker songs and a few of hope to help ease thepain in her heart.

Shadow returned to the tent not attempting to hide any of the fresh wounds, though not bringing any attention to it either. He lie down on the cot next to Kat allowing himself to drift into a deep plagued sleep as blood dripped from his sleeves and into the dust beneath him.

Less than two hours later distortion was shaking Shadow awake. "Shadow come on we have to go, the patchies are tired of waiting and Jokers not going to be able to control himself for much longer." He speaks urgently.

Shadow woke feeling rather panicked. "We can stay at my house until they disperse." Shadow said quietly. He picked up Kat, their bags and his belt before passing pearls around and leaving without another word. Shadow place Kat on his bed tucking her in neatly. He trotted around his rut in the snow casting protective barriers around the house and scattering special seeds in the snow between the barrier and his house. The seeds would make assumptions on those walking on them. Good intentions caused nothing but bad would send violent shocks of pain through the being stepping on the seed, multiplied by each seed beneath their foot. The end result would be near paralysis.

Distortion followed quickly, kazia ad Ram appearing nearby as well
"They probably won't venture far out of the demonsplace, so we should be fine. Just in case me and Ram can stay out here and keep watch, or I can and ram can stay inside." Distortion says with a shrug.

Shadow nodded. "I would stay on the porches though. I scattered some seeds around that could burn you or something pretty badly if i made them wrong." He warned flying off to sit on the roof. Shadow sat above one of the side porches his knees tucked to his chest tiredly. He was starved and tired though he could not sleep nor bother to heal the wounds Time had inflicted. He walked about on the roof scanning the tree line for threats.

Distortion paced the porch nervously, while Ram sat inside quietly. Kazia fell asleep on the floor inside, not feeling up to moving much.

Shadow eventually went inside, the cold to much to bear. He figured Distortion would be capable enough. He sighed and picked up Kaz, placing her on the couch and under a warm blanket. Shadow lit the fire easily and went up t o check on Kat. He changed into some clothes and pulled on some heavy boots fit for the snow. He opened the window to the room and sat on the roof just outside it, resting the back of his head on the window sill.

Distortion continued to pace tirelessly, too much on his mind for him to rest. However, feathers still dropped rapidly from his coat, leaving his crow-black feathers scattered across the snow.
Kazia mumbled quietly in her sleep, while ram simply sat by the fire.

Shadow woke when the sun had begun to rise, small blisters forming on his hands and neck. HE crawled back into the window stiffly. Shadow shut the curtains and checked on Kat's body, pulling the blankets snug over her. He trotted downstairs to see where everyone was, feeling rather anxious all of a sudden.

Ram had fallen asleep sitting against one of the walls, and Kazia was awake and pacing the room quietly, getting to know the area she was in. Distortion continued to pace outside silently.

Shadow looked about the room for a few minutes tiredly. "DO you think It's safe to go back yet? YOu think the changelings are coming soon?" SHadow asked sounding much like a caged animal and in some frame, he was.

"I'm not sure how safe it is, and what did the paper say exactly?" Kazia replies quietly, pausing and sitting.

"It said keep her safe, don't deface the nails and they'd be there in a few days or a few weeks. There is no knowing." Shadow explained running a hand through his hair. "Is there any way to contact Joker from here?" He asked quietly.

"I'm not sure what you have in mind, but we can try sending Ram or Distortion to carry a message if you want." Kazia replies.

"I think Distortion could use some rest. Maybe Ram would be willing." Shadow mumbled. He walked over and kneeled next to Ram. "Hey, man wake up I need you to do something for me." he said hesitantly feeling bad for waking him.

Ram woke slowly, moving his mask slightly after a moment to rub his eyes while still hiding his face. "...what do you need?" He asks drowsily.

"Only if you want to, I need someone to go talk to Joker in and ask him if it's safe to bring her back. We don't want her out of the demonsplace for too long in case the changelings come and we aren't there." Shadow explained his voice friendly and urgent.

He nods. "Alright, give me a few hours and I should be back with an answer." He speaks, using his staff to help him stand. "Kazi, could you please help me get to the demonsplace?" He asks the small blind seer who was laying on the ground again.
"Of course dear, just be careful." She answers, standing. She swiftly padded over and they disappeared in a quick puff of smoke. Seconds later Kazia was back, sitting where she had re appeared.

Shadow thanked him and smiled reassuringly more to himself than to Kaz. "Anyone need anything? Blankets or sustenance just let me know." He said quietly going to make his coffee.

"Have anything I could nibble on dear?" Kazia asks softly, hunger beginning to gnaw at her. Distortion sat silently outside, feathers now patchy and bits of his skin underneath now showing through. Sharp crossing patterns now shone along his dark marshy green skin.

"Sure, no problem. Just a minute." Shadow said with a warm smile. He walked over to Distortion, having been watching him through the window in the door. He casually sat next to him. "How you doin' man?" Shadow asked quietly wishing he had put on more clothes before going to sit in the cold.
(I hope this convo is as cool as im imagining :3 twill be so easyyyy :D and im thinkin bout some little thing...i think someone we know should make an appearance possibly... :3)
