"Y-Yeah... Please... I-it hurts alot..." She whimpers before coughing a few times into the rag she had been using.

Shadow cringed slightly the pain in her voice reverberating through him. He got up woth haste and ran upstairs and dug through his medicine cabinet. He grabbed a small brown vile and went back downstairs, giving it to her swiftly. "Just drink the thing as fast as you can. It'll keep you up but itt'll take the pain away within ten minutes." Shadow explained helping her sit up, handing her the small vile.

KAtia takes the vial shakily,feeling a bit dizzy for a moment once she was helped to sit up.Her lungs burned and her chest ached along with her head. She slowly drinks the contents of the vial, wanting the pain in her chest and head to stop, though she would be happy if it was just numbed a bit at this point.

THe cold serum traveled through her blood and slowly began numbing her entire body. After ten minutes her body feels heavier and the pain has subsided to a dull throb. "Better?" Shadow asked with a small smile.

She nods, finally opening her eyes a bit. "Y-yeah, a bit-... Shadow...what happened to your-?" She wheezes worriedly, though her words are cut off by another coughing fit.

"Not important right now." Shadow said holding the cloth for her. He pulled her closer to him resting her head on his chest. "You're gonna be ok. I'm gonna help get you better." Shadow whispered, wiping some blood away from her cheek.

She lies there breathing shallowly, her eyes and hair streak a light, sickly lavender. She nods slowly in reply to his statement, not wanting to talk anymore because every time she did she seemed to have another coughing fit.

Shadow sat there for a while before eventually falling asleep. He mumbled about though nothing bad nor intelligeable. Canus shifted forms and milled about tring to think of what to do. He ended up prancing about in the snow with sunny barking gayly as they play fought and rolled about int the snow.

Distortion sat outside in his regular form, watching the two with a sort of smile on his beak.
Kat stays still, kept awake by what she had drank as shadow had told her she would be. She was careful not to disturb him, muffling her coughs with the rag if she did cough. Alyssium was wandering around the house curiously.

Shadow woke in his bed, his head still fuzzy from the last day. Three loops within an hour. They had sped up and he was now roughly a week into it. He had only six more to go and dreaded the last and worst of them all. He sat up and pulled on some jeans and his hoodie, yawning tiredly. "How you feeling?" He asked his throat dry and his voice cracking. His throat was still raw from all the screaming last night, and it left him drowning in his own blood built up over time in his sleep more than once.

"A-a little better...." she wheezes. Her headache had finally gone, though the pain in her chest still remained, and breathing was still difficult.

"As I predicted Tom had no idea what he was doing and just left some supplements and a few more vials of pain killers though I don't know if it'll actually help..." Shadow rasped running a hand over the stitches on his eye while Kat couldn't see his whole face. He had reverted to wearing a pair of aviators most of the time though not always.He pulled on a beanie and smiled to her changing out the rags by their bed. Shadow went downstairs, the air still somber and sullen. Shadow nodded to everyone making a cup of coffee.

Joker and Ram were speaking quietly in one corner of the room, which they had seemed to claim as their own. Distortion was outside again, just silently watching the sky and the snow. Alyssium had apparently fallen asleep at the bottom of the stairs.

Shadow went outside with his coffee and pipe as he did most mornings sitting next to Distortion. "Morning." Shadow said lighting his pipe. He blew the smoke out from between his lips , darkening the air around him.

Distortion nods. "Er- Good morning." He speaks back, still watching the sky calmly, enjoying being out of the dark cavern that was the demonsplace.

"What's going on?" Shadow asked trying to make simple conversation. The beating of wings again permeated Shadow's ears. HE began to twitch once more. He again assumed it was his head, still a bit fuzzy with the events of late.

Distortion takes a deep breath. "um, just... watching... I guess... I rarely get to leave the demonsplace... But I find it nice up here..." He says, head tilted 90 degrees. He briefly shakes out his raggedy feathers, loosing a few in the process. "... Er-... How is Kat doing?... and how's your eye?" He asks, turning his head a bit to look at Shadow.

"The eye I still have in my head is fine." Shadow said bitterly. He sighed. "Sorry I'm just a little tired. Kat's not any worse. Can you hear that?" Shadow said scratching at his ear.

Distortion shifts forms to something with better ears, looking more like a mouse for a second. "I hear the wind, and distant rain. " He says, shifting back. "But I'm not even sure about that..."

"No, no, like....wings. Sorta....I dunno I feel like Im going crazy." Shadow said sighing. He finished off his pipe and dashed the ashes about the snow coughing a bit.

Distortion ruffles his feathers. "hmmm... I'll look out for anything, just in case. Okay?" He offers kindlywith a smile

Shadow smiled widely. "Thank you." Shadow said. The outstretch of kindness a ray of sunshine in the gloom of the past few days. "I didn't wake anyone last night did I?" Shadow asked, blushing slightly embarrassed.

Distortion laughs. "Ram almost punched a hole in the wall, and Alyss ran upstairs to see what was wrong." He says lightly.
