"Atl, I'm sure it'd be fine for you to rest here till you walk like a sober man." Shadow said his voice friendly and fatherlike. He lay down on his cot resting his eyes for a moment. "Guys if she hasn't woken up by now she won't be up for 8-10 hours. That powder is like melatonin on steroids." He said to Kaz and Bella, yawning slightly.

"I wish I could rest here, but I need to leave as soon as I can." Atlas replies, an undertone of fear creeping into his voice as he rested his head in his hands, annoyed by his clouded mind.
Kazia nods.
"I figured as much, dear. " She replies to Shadow softly.

"Oh, right sorry. Yeah I guess. Good luck then." Shadow said quietly, feeling rather foolish.

"It's alright, we''re very thankful for your kindness. If you need any help, you know where to find me." Atlas replies, still eaiting for his head to clear a bit more before setting out.

Shadow held up his thumb, his eyes still closed. He rolled over, taking Kat's hand gently. He watched her through slits in his eyelids before drifting off to sleep, his hand intertwined in hers.

Several hours passed before Katia woke quietly, having drowned in her dream. She felt a little fuzzy as she opened her eyes, blinkingaway her dream slowly. She smiled lightly, seeing Shadow by her, asleep and seemingly peaceful.

Shadow was twitching his feet and knees gently as if swinging back an forth. He woke a few minutes later, sitting up a tad to fast and going blind for moment. "Hey you're up." He said with a light smile. "Did the powder work? No bad dreams?" Shadow asked his eye hopeful and returning to its pale pinkish color.

Kat's smile faded. "No, sorry... My dream was... w-worse than usual..." She replies quietly, looking at the cot below her with pale blue and white eyes.

Shadow frowned his expression apologetic. "I'm so sorry...it's never not worked before...I thought it would be safe...." he said quietly his eye shifting to a pale blue.

"It's fine... Wasn't your fault that I had a bad dream." SHe replies, still quiet.
In the room Kazia and Bella appeared to have fallen asleep nearby, and Atlas had disappeared, only a few of his wing scales left behind.

Shadow shook the thought out of his head. "How are you feeling? Anything you need?" He asked his voice warmer and deeper than usual.
(I swear if you make a puberty joke I'm going to eat you XD)

"No, I'm fine... Just a bit cold..." She replies, shifting slightly, pulling her blanket closer to herself weakly.

Shadow shrugged off his jacket and wrapped it around her. "I'd offer you hard liquor to warm you up but I have a feeling I might get slapped." He said with a smirk. He dug through his bag and retrieved a bottle of bloodsub downing it and his eye seemed to light up. "I'm really glad I got you back."

"Your hypothesis would be correct. But I'd still be happy to be back." Katia replies with a small smile. "I just... Want to forget where I was..."
(bleh nonsensical sleep deprived 2am post of rage)

(I CALLED IT THIS TIME)
Shadow nodded. "I wish I could do something to help with that but of all of the things I have my hands on, that is one of the few things I don't have anything for. Then again I don't have much for mental healing. Most of the things I make are physical things." He explained quietly. "You still cold? I could get you some more blankets." He offered trying to change the subject to something lighter.

"it's fine, was just talkibg to myself... And no, I think I'm fine for now..." She speaks quietly.

Shadow sat up straight cracking his back and neck out of habit. "You know it hasn't been that long but I feel like I Haven't seen you in months. First you were sick and then this and now I honestly don't know what to say. I'm just rambling." He said a grin stretching onto his lips.

"It's fine, I feel the same." Katia replies, her light smile returning. "I wish things were calmer though... Maybe after we figure out what to do about these nails..." She continues, thinking to herself. "No, not even then probably..." She sighs. "I just wish for a good week at least where things are alright for both of us."

"A vacation would be nice. Tell you what, when you're feeling up to it, I'll take you somewhere safe and warm. We'll stay there for a while." Shadow said laughing.

"Maybe..." She replies, shifting her wings slightly under the blankets and jacket that were over her. A small yawn escaped her, her now sharp teeth becoming visivle for a brief moment. "...I hope everything turns out okay..." she continues, voice just above a whisper.

Shadow noticed her teeth for a moment hoping he knew what to do. "Me too. But hey, enough of this heavy crap I'm hungry. Are you? Canus left a few souls with me if you like." Shadow said as if it were no big deal as he pulled a butchered deer leg from his bag.

"No, I'm fine... I don't want a soul right now... You can eat in peace." she replies, still quiet. "I still feel rather tired..." Katia finishes, ignoring any hunger as usual.

Shadow gave her a knowing look but said nothing. "Well I have no use for them, you hold onto em for when you do get hungry." He said tossing her a bag from his belt a bit larger than the rest. He bit into the deer his eyes seemingly sad as he ate though he finished it easily feeling bloated afterwards. The bottom half of his face was splattered with blood and his fangs hung out lazily he lie back. He cleaned off his face with a sleeve and sat by Kat digging through his belt. He wrapped a little leather string around her wrist, a dreamcatcher sitting in the middle. "If you're tired, sleep. I'm right here."

She nods. " Thanks, for all of this.." She speaks quietly, beginning to fall asleep.

Shadow laughed quietly wrapping his arms around her. "It's my job." He whispered.
