Shadow sat back blushing slightly. "If you're tired then rest. I've no where to be." He said, one leg on the ground the other on the cot.

She nods, beginning to settle down and fall asleep.

Shadow smiled happy to feel her next to him. He stayed awake not tired in the least though perfectly content. His body was completely still, not wanting to bother her. Shadow watched her every so often and listened to her heartbeat solid and steady at point a he waited for the nightmares to begin.

Her heartbeat quickened soon after she fell asleep, Day wasting no time in throwing her to her worst fears and fake scenes of hateful confessions and lies.
Tonight she was alone. All alone within her mind, and too weak to do anything. The nails in her back seemed to dig in further, and this time she could feel them burning and digging into her flesh. Her scars ached and shot pain through her, ankles, neck, and arms becoming centers of pain from a well known source. She cried softly, the only sighn she would allow that showed the pain she was in and the immense fear in her heart.

Shadow woke her up immediately. "That bastard must really have no life I all he does is terrorize you." He said his voice furious and aggressive.

"...He has all the time in the world to, and enough power that it's nothing to him...." She says quietly, going from the fear from her dream to a dreary state with a sigh.

Shadow sighed. "Well he's a dipwad." He said laughing at his own childish ways. "Forget that. He doesn't deserve your thought. I brought something you might like." Shadow said smiling lightly. He dug through her bag and pulled out a small plastic container with a cupcake inside with purple ad pink decorations. He laughed again feeling a little foolish. Shadow pulled it out and whispered something a small flame appearing at the tip of his finger while he lit a candle and unceremoniously shoved it into the top lighting it with a grin. "Celebratory cupcake?" Shadow asked his voice high pitched and giggly.

Katia's eyes widened a bit, but in sudden remembrence. "That reminds me, my birthday's near this time..." She says, thinking out loud to herself. "I don't know the date today though..." She continues quietly.
(is it even near january the fifth in the rp? Cause i know it's near but a lot has happebed XD)

(Well Halloween was like months ago so Yeah sure just make it January XD)
Shadow smiled. "Well I have better timing than I thought. Happy birthday. Early or belated." He said his tone cheery. "I'd sing for you just to see you blush and attempt to shut me up but I also would be afraid of getting slapped." Shadow joked holding the small purple capped sweet out to her as the candle began to melt.

She laughed shortly. "You know I wouldn't hurt you, but I'm pretty sure others are asleep around here. I'm not so sure they'd like to be woken up by random singing." She replies quietly before blowing out the melting candle before it dripped wax on the icing of the cupcake.

Shadow nodded in agreement and smiled glad to see her just a little happier. "Well for what it's worth happy birthday again" he said feeling a bit awkward.

"thanks, er, again" Katia replies with a small laugh. "so...," She begins, trying to think of something they could talk about. "How're you liking the demonsplace, very beautiful and nice right?." She says jokingly

Shadow grinned. "Agreed, not to mention the breathtaking views and local hospitality." He said trying to muffle his laughter. "I think Alyssium is still in my bag..." he said quickly dispatching the bag from under his cot.

Alyssium yelped in surprise as Shadow accidentally grabbed him instead of his bag. He clawed at his hand, surprised, as he had been syddenly woken from sleep,

Shadow laughed shaking out his hand. "Sorry man I though you were still in my bag."
(Srry rushed)

He flicked his ears, fur still puffed up and ruffled. "Not your fault..." He replies quietly, sitting down nearby, looking thin and tired, his eyes dark.

"Can I offer you food or water my friend?" Shadow asked seeing Alyssium's poor state. "Perhaps some blankets to sleep on?"

"I'll take something to sleep on if you can find anything..."The cat replies quietly, not bothering to smooth out his fur. Katia removedone of her blankets weakly and offerred it to the boy.
"Here, have one of mine." She says quietly

"I have a sleeping bag you could borrow. I actually have two so whoever wants one." Shadow said offering the thin red and grey roll to the cat, yawning quietly.

Alyssium accepted both, pulling them into a sort of nest before laying down within them. "Thanks." He replies to the two quietly.
"No problem" Katia replies quietly, seeming a bit drowsy once more. "Gunna eat any of that cupcake?" She asks Shadow before yawning lightly.

"Wasn't planning on it it was for you." Shadow said laughing slightly. "Plus the fact that I don't often eat normal food." He continued laughing harder.

Katia seemed discouraged. "Sorry..." She speaks softly,voice barely above a whisper.

Shadow stopped laughing immediately. "Hey, it's not your fault. Don't get yourself so down love. You've got too pretty a smile to be down on yourself." He said wrapping a wing around her lovingly. Shadow offered his easy smile while he tugged at his shoelaces idly tying knots in the bright blue strings.

"Yeah... I guess you're right..." Katia replies quietly.
A piece of a familiar patchwork arm falls from seemingly nowhere, the owner of it cursing to himself as he realized its absence. Joker was hanging from the top of the tent, and appeared to have been there for a while.
