Shadow eventually got up unburying his legs and getting up. He extended a hand to Kat. "How about some tea. I hear it has a rather calming effect on people." He joked lightly.

Kat takes his hand, standing. "heh, alright." She says, lightly, now calm.

Shadow walked back to the house scolding himself for being an idiot once again. He reheated the kettles and sat around waiting for the water to boil. "I've got to go into town again today. You wanna come?" He asked thinking about the robes he had to construct.

Kat sits down as well. "Yeah, sure~ You know I don't like to be alone." She answers.

"I also know you don't like being ordered around." Shadow said laughing awkwardly. He fixed the tea passing her a mug across the counter. He took a sip of his own relishing the peach warmth running through his chest.

"True..." Kat replies, taking a sip of her own tea thoughtfully.

Shadow finished his tea and left it in the sink. He pulled a notepad out and re-wrote his measurements from memory and the ballpark range of Jacques his branch's representative. With that he generated a balpark amount of material he needed and added a bit to it. "Alright then. Lets go if your ready." Shadow said heading for the door.

Kat snaps back to reality. "hm? oh, alright. Just give me a second." She says before grabbing her scarf and wrapping it around her neck once more. "Alright, ready~" She says, now following him, though her mind continued to wander.

Shadow walked down the snow covered drive and to the car having to turn the ignition several times before the engine revved up. Shadow adjusted the heater in the car, his breath visible even inside the cab of the vehicle.

Kat sits in the passenger seat, tightening her scarf, her head in the clouds.

Shadow drives seeming a bit down as they enter the town. He missed being able to fly. Though this would help him fix them so there was no point behind his emotions. Though Shadow still felt a little sentimental at the moment.

Kat's scarf turned a deep, bluish-purple as she sat, staring out of the window. There were too many things on her mind, and too many of them were trying to drag her down into depression.

Shadow pulled into the fabric store in a bitter haze. He walked through the store numbly feeling tired. He gathered his materials and paid the mousy cashier returning to the car in a slightly better mood. "Did you come up to the surface at all when you were a kid?" Shadow asked suddenly desperate for conversation

"hmm? Oh, yeah. I lived with my mom up here up until...Day.... It's how I'm not so... Like the other demons I guess...." She replies, shoving her thoughts back, trying to come back to reality.

"Huh. Cool. Well not the...yeah..." Shadow said piling his things in the back of the car. "Sorry I-I didn't mean..." He trailed off getting in the car and driving them home.

"It's alright...Heh, you're starting to sound like me..." She says, watching him. "Maybe I'm a cause of sickness" She can't help but think, her mind making seemingly random connections.

Shadow laughed. "Or maybe it's the fact that you've been living with me for a long time. THe longest anyone's ever lived with me is like a week and then you've been here for like a couple of months. You're not a sickness Kat. You are many thing. A sickness or a spreader of one is not it." He said as if the thought was preposterous. He pulled up in the drive and got out grabbing his things and jogging to the front door. "I didn't think it was possible but I think it got colder Jeez," Shadow grumbled fumbling with the lock.

Kat shivers. "Yeah, it seems to have..." She comments quietly, tugging her scarf tighter around her neck.

Shadow pushes at the door having to shove rather hard to free it up. He dropped the stuff on the floor by the door, and closed it after Kat. "Alright then, I guess I gotta go sew this stuff now. Funnnnnn...." Shadow said sarcastically. He trudged upstairs and began messing with the sewing machine not trying too hard to actually do anything. More of just nudging the thing every few seconds.

Kat stays downstairs for a short time before wandering upstairs. She watches Shadow for a second before speaking quietly. "Anything wrong?" She asks gently, sitting on the ground and leaning against the wall, though keeping her gaze on him.

Shadow did not look at her and sighed as he began actual work. "No I-I just don't this kind of thing. When I was little I dressed up like this all the time. Ignorance was truly bliss but what I have to present myself in is far more revealing than anything I'm comfortable in. TO many holes for the council to be able to see my skin. TO many scars for them to criticize. Let alone I have to let them work on me, I have to let them touch me. Sick. Sick monsters. All the blood on their hands. Value of life my ass." Shadow mumbled not really talking to her, more himself than anything.

Kat nods. "...Ah..." Was all she replied, being able to mostly relate. She falls into silence soon however, now watching the ground, old memories flashing in between thoughts, sending uneasy shivers down her spine.

Shadow began mumbling an old tune out of habit just over the hum of the machine. "..and in the dark they keep running......faster new days come.....jrbgail"He continued still unaware of his verbal outbursts.

Katia slips into her mind, stressing over traditions and fearing old memories. She was silent as she sat, her knees to her chest, eyes a deep, deep, blue. Thoughts of her time spent with day and King mingling with current events and fears.

"Kat don't go off thinking like that." Shadow said gently. "I don't like it when you're sad." He said a chipper look on his face. He continued sewing making a sort of poncho stitched together at the side, a v- shaped hole in the top for his head that would stop just above his belly button. Two mirrored holes curved intricately faintly representing up side down wings took up most of the back of the piece. Shadow stitched up a pair of skin tight leggings to wear beneath his robes and then he began working on cloak for Jacques.
