Kat remains quiet, not hearing him through the noise of her memories. The yelling and sneers from Day mingling with the threats and laughter from King.

"Kat," Shadow repeated louder. "Hey Kat,"

Katia finally hears his voice through the noise, snapping back to reality, tears streaking her face, though she didn't realize it. "Y-Yeah?" She replies, hoping he had just thought that she had zoned out.

Shadow moved his things by her and restarted his works. "Don't be thinking like that." He said brushing a tear from her cheek. "You've got a pretty smile. Don't let them take it away." He said gently before resuming his work next to her.

She nods, trying to push aside the memories, not wanting to worry him or make him sad. Her eyes turn a bluish shade of purple.

"You do any threadwork?" Shadow asked trying to break the uncomfortable silence. He continued sewing the hood and main straight of the cloak tiredly.

"Not really. It's mostly my sister that sews..." She replies.

"I see. Fascinating." Shadow joked. He felt a little lighter as he finished the cloak. It was sleek black and embroidered in fine silver silk thread. The designs depicted Jacques crest with his initials at the bottom and a bright blue trim along the edges of the cloak. "I think that about does it." Shadow said holding the cloth out in front of himself.

"Nice." Kat comments, allowing herself to relax a bit and sitting a bit more comfortably.

"Yeah you know Jack isn't a bad guys. He's the youngest of the council and the smartest. He's not sadistic and an asshole like the others. I'm glad he represents my branch." Shadow said laying the cloak across the arm of the couch. Shadow yawned and threw the matrice piece he would wear on top of the  cloak and yawned again. He sat back next to Kat and popped his knuckles. "You know what this needs?" Shadow asked a hint of mischief in his eyes.

"I don't know what?" Kat asks, curiously, happy to be out of her memories for now. Her eyes were back to a bright purple.

Shadow tackled her and tickled her laughing wildly. "THIS THIS IS WHAT THIS PICTURE NEEDED!!!" He yelled.

Kat falls, laughing silently, not able to breath as she tried to squirm away.

Shadow eventually rolls off her laughing, and gasping for air. "That." He gasped.

Katia laughs softly, lying on her side, breathing heavily after being cut off from air.

"Boop." Shadow said poking Kat's nose. "YOU'RE IT!" He squealed running out of the room and downstairs missing the last step and falling flat on his face. He got up his nose bleeding slightly. Shadow continued laughing as he ran all through the first floor.

After a moment Kat chases after him playfully, though wasn't quite able to catch him. She hides instead, something she used to do to confuse others.

Shadow eventually sneaks around looking for her a hint of fear presenting itself. The possibility that she had been taken. He brushed the thought aside and resumed his playful search.

Kat soon slips out of her hiding spot and heads back upstairs silently, going to simply sit back down in his room in a place where she would be harder to see.

Shadow clears out the bottom floor closing doors of rooms he'd searched. He silently crept upstairs and began searching his own room. He could smell her. "I smell you and I know your in here...but part of me is wanting to find you, the other wants to run away so you cant get me..." Shadow said a mischievous grin on his face.

Kat waits for him to be near before jumping out of her hiding spot, tackling him playfully and laughing softly.

Shadow yelled in surprise falling to the ground. "Sneaky little girl." Shadow said allowing his head to rest on the carpet. He wiped his face again. "Woah...damn...when did that happen?" Shadow asked wriggling out from under her. He looked in the mirror and began rubbing at the several dried streams of blood on his face. "Did I fall or something I don't remember." He said tilting his head up.

"I think you might have fallen down a step or two. I heard a thunk when you ran down them. Figured you fell, but didn't know you were bleeding..." Kat replies, now feeling a bit bad that she hadn't seen it before.

"Eh, no worries. Must have hit pretty hard if I don't remember but...I kinda get a little loopy when I'm hyper like this." Shadow said his smile not faltering. He walked into the bathroom, leaving the door open, and cleaned his face up and sat on the toilet lid, holding a wad of toilet paper to his nose laughing hysterically.

Kat shakes her head, though keeps her smile. "Alright, whatever you say..." She says before following him out of the room and sitting out in the hall.
