Kat seems a bit calmer as they walk, his presence and the quiet helping her relax. She leads them closer to the edge of tne city, around the end of the market street. Here there were less demons and more empty houses. Kat pauses a ways away from a small structure that had dried plants hanging ouside, and heavily curtained windows. a thin wisp of smoke rose from a fire within it. Where Katia had paused was a pole with a bell tied to it. She takes a thick cloth from her pocket and offers it to Shadow. ”Here, Sometimes this stuff drifts out here when she leaves the house. I don't want you to get hurt.” She says to him.

"Ok, no problem." Shadow said tying the cloth over his mouth and nose. To be honest Shadow enjoyed Bella most out of Kats friends and he was happy to be seeing her.

Katia rings the bell and there's a bit of shuffling inside, shown by the light movement of the curtains. After a moment the front door opens and belladonna emerges from the house, clipping a little pin on her shawl as she walkes over.
”Hello~ Been a while. I was wondering about you two. ” she says, pausing a few feet away to swipe some sort of powder off of her arm. ”How've you guys been?" She asks, now approaching them.

Shadow smiled but remembered the cloth over his face. "Alright." He said nodding towards her.
(Bleh. tired)

Bella nods happily. ”Good. So, what brings you two down here?” She asks them both.
"Just wanted to know what was going on down here and how you were doin." Kat says to Bella calmly.
"Aww, you know I'm alright. As one of the few poisoners that work on commission I'm always doing fine... Though I'm looking for someone to work with me." Bella speaks happily. (So srry for the late reply ›.‹)

Shadow took a step back making Kat the main focus of the conversation. He put his hands in his pockets tiredly and allowed his mind to drift to this "challenge" of late as the girls spoke.

They speak for a while before the conversation ends up turning to the very subject that Shadow was thinking of.
" You? I thought you gave that up, said you didn't care about rank. Kat you haven't fought in a long time. What rank is he?" Bella asks worried.
"...He's a Middle rank... Humanoid...It was a possession challenge that now includes rank...” Katia answers, looking rather nervous once more. Bella gives her a hug and fiddles with a few of the pouches and small bottles tied around her waist. It takes her a minute, but she gathers a handful of strings in her hand and holds them up to Katia. Each string had a little bottle or pouch attached, and bella sorts them into three different bunches. She points to each group as she speaks
"Now these take no time at all, but there isn't much so be careful. Use them if you have too... I.m not sure if you're very resistant to these however... And this second group takes a while, but see these two bottles? Coat your claws or your blade. It'll help. And the third group mostly causes drowsiness or has temporary effects. Again, be careful though." She explains, handing the poisons to Katia, who takes them, thanking the poisoner.

Shadow listened into the conversation when it changed topics paying close attention to Bella's words. "It was great to see you Bella. I wish you well." Shadow said ready to leave.

Bella nods. "Nice to see you too. Come back anytime~ And I'll be at your fight Kat. Goodluck." She says, waving. Kat turns to Shadow. "want to head home?" She asks once they were away from Bella.

"Yeah lets do that, I'm getting a bit lightheaded." Shadow said. His face had paled and oddly his wings seemed to fade slightly too. Not the deep voidish black but more of a very dark grey. He was pale and his eyes matched his wings, his hands sweaty though he had crammed in his pockets.

"Oh no, you think you might have breathed in something?" Kat asks, becoming a bit worried, delaying their return since Bella would have the antidote if he had come into contact with anything.

"I doubt it. I'm just low leveled right now. These wings suck energy out of me like nuts. Lets just get home and Ill get a drink and take a nap or something." Shadow said not desperately concerned about being poisoned though the thought mingled about in the back of his mind.

Kat nods. "Alright, lets go then." She says, gently placing a hand on his arm and taking them back to Shadow's.

Shadow stumbles through he door in into the kitchen guzzling down two pints of the sickly sweet bloodsub. He gasped for breath as he finished feeling slightly better. His wings were totally black once more and they made him look even paler. His hear had slowed and he felt as if Time had stopped. He fummbled his way to a tin of white capsules swallowing them before passing out completely from utter exhaustion.

Kat was worried as usual, but stayed calm as she picks him up and sets him down on the couch with a bit of difficulty, thankful that she had her tail for balance. She then goes upstairs and grabs some paper and a pen from her bag. Then she quickly returns downstairs to sit by Shadow, thoughts and worry clouding her mind. When not watching him or sitting idly, she'd write on the paper, making a to do list.

Shadow was limp for roughly half an hour before he blinked his eyes open. He snapped up on the couch and shook his head wildly. 'What huh? Who?" Shadow said looking around seeming frightened. "Where am I? Who are you?" he rambled frantically. His eyes had glaced over with an odd whitish cover making him seem blind. He ran about hiding yelling "No leave her alone" repeatedly as he darted from place to place in a childlike state of mind.

Kat follows and gently grabs him, trying to hold him still for at least a moment. "Shadow, shhh, It's okay, nothing's going on, just calm down." She says, not sure what to do.

Shadow jerks away from her violently darting into a nearby closet. "LEAVE HER ALONE" He demanded through the door, his voice no longer his own. He had curled up in a tight ball in the corner of the closet, his blind eyes leaking tears. His skin now was just an off white color making him seem much like a ghost even his fangs containing more color that his skin.
(Its official everyone, shadow has gone off the deep end.)

Kat gingerly opens the closet door a bit, peeking inside. "No one's messing with her, she's fine." She soothes, worried. She shifts back into her more human form, hoping that might help with this situation.

Shadow doesn't respond, shrinking farther back in the corner, his wings wrapped around him tightly. A glint of his eye peeks up over his wing, glowing a bright blue, easily seen in the dark. "P-p-promise?" He croaked his voice still sounding like that of a person much younger than him.

"Promise." Kat replies.

Shadow slowly crawls out into the hallway. He looked around and sat halfway in the door and halfway out, still feeling rather afraid. HE strained his neck to look down the hallway as if something was there. His face creased angrily. "YOU PROMISED! YOU SAID YOU'D LEAVE HER ALONE! YOU LIED TO ME!!!" Shadow screamed, fresh tears flowing down his face. He socked Kat in the eye and ran down the hallway sprawled out on a patch of carpet sobbing apologies to an unseen entity.

Kat draws back, hand over her eye, and a few tears beginning to fall. She didn't know what to do, didn't know what was wrong. She keeps an eye on him, ready to prevent him from doing anything stupid, but doesn't come too close.
