The force had become to great and Shadow dropped out of the air like a rock landing hard onto a cart on the outskirts of camp. He stumbled about feeling rather dizzy and disoriented. Riley laughed at him as he faceplanted into the dust, splitting his lip an  giving him a bloody nose.

"I think you'll be fine for now. But you know what you have to do in order to sustain yourself. No more rejecting souls." Noir speaks gently, his hand still on Katia's shoulder as he spoke to her. She didn't respond, her gaze still on the ground.
Joker watched the two quietly, the box of souls held loosely by his side.

Shadow tentatively moved closer to the group desperately wiping blood from his face. He replaced the bandage around his head to hide his face once more as well as the blood. Riley assisted him like a lost puppy dabbing at his face as he walked. The bandages were almost soaked through by the time he could see the small group of people around Kat. It took everything in his power to not run straight for her and take her in his arms, so he decided to keep his distance until Noir left.

"Sorry that I can't stay for longer, but I'm really tired dear." The top rank apologizes to Katia. "And I know your friends are probably worried. " He says before sighing, a small cloud of fog added to the air by the action. "Don't forget where your home is." He finishes before getting up again and vanishing in a burst of colorful flames, leaving his fog to slowly disperse without him.
Katia wiped at her face with an arm, hiding her eyes as her tears rolled down her cheeks.

With that Shadow full out sprinted at Kat, grabbing her in his arms and pulling her tight to his chest as he landed on the ground. He was careful to maneuver under her so as not to hurt her. Tears welled in his eyes and he simply held her there, his arms tight as well as his neck. "I came back Kat. I kept my promise." He whispered, tucking his head into her neck.
(*dies of adorableness*)

Katia hugged him tightly, still unable to speak.
Slowly, the troupe began to come out of hiding and soon returned to packing everything up again. Kazia and Morpheus came out of hiding quickly, rushing over to see Kat.
Joker watched Shadow and Kat from where he had been standing before looking around and walking off towards a specific cart.

Eventually ShAdow was able to let her go and sit up, looking at her with a huge grin. He brushed some hair from her face gently and thumbed away the streaks of tears gently. "You have never been so beautiful than you are right now." He said quietly. Shadow was just happy to be close to her again. To speak to her again.

Katia couldn't make eye contact, her eyes still cracked pieces of blues and yellows.
joker soon returned with a satchel and waited for a turn to speak.

Shadow helped her up, gently kissing her forehead. He let her go, taking a step to the side sheepishly. "Sorry...uh..." He mumbled blushing slightly.
(sorry short but yeah)

Katia held her wings closer to her back, lifting them off the ground now as she stood. Joker stepped forward and gave her the small bag he held.
"Here, this will last you a while. Keep it with you." The patchie spoke and Kat replied with a small nod, taking the satchel and holding it by her side.
"How are you feeling dear?" Kazia asks her.
"Okay..." Katia answers, voice barely above a whisper.

Shadow smiled gently, suddenly feeling his elation was insensitive. "If its alright, maybe I take her up to the surface...for some rest. Just a few hours. I need to go up anyways, my house needs some help. And a few other things...I just figure she could rest there for a bit and I can meet you guys at the next location with her." Shadow asked looking at Kazia for approval, peeking out from beneath his lashes.

Kazia nodded. "Sure dear. We'll be headed past the city and over the left branch of the river, just find us there." She replies.

Shadow smiled nodding gratefully. "Alright then We'll meet you there as long as it's alright with you, Kat." Shadow asked looking at Katia the same way had Kaz.

"Yeah, it's fine." Katia replies quietly, tail curled near her feet.

With that Shadow gently picked her up, his arms under her knees and back. He stepped on a pearl he had dropped a moment ago and was careful to stay standing when they landed. "You feeling any better?" Shadow asked quietly as he breathed in the cool crisp air around them. He unlocked the door to his house and seemed taken aback as everything was in perfect condition. His Windows and mirrors had been replaced and everything seemed to be back in place. The stunned expression didn't fade as he ran through his house like a child in a park.
(Welp. This is going to be confusing.)

"Less sick at least." She answers quietly before he got excited and started running throughout the house. Then she was quiet but it did cheer her up a bit to see him like this.

Once Shadows excitement subsided he returned to Kat reading a note. "Canus tidied up for letting him out for a few days. Uh, er sorry. Your sick..I just...missed...you...." he said sheepishly turning away from her slightly. He began reaching to pull the metal from his face as he frowned slightly, the bar in his eyebrow troubling him.

"It's fine, I missed you too." Katia replies warmly, seeming a bit cheerier than before at least. She adjusts her scarf with a hand, though now it appeared more like a claw, her nails darker and sharp, with what looked like small scales and feathers beginning to form. She paused and looked at her hand with a look of sadness before making herself focus on Shadow. "You alright? Need any help?" She asks, trying to get her mind off things.

"Uh..we yeah I guess. I went to talk to your dad and I was trying to seem less like some weak little white boy with wings. So I put in all, well almost all my piercings and drew on my mark. This one always gives me trouble though. Would you...uh...would you mind...?" He asked, feeling foolish and ignorant.

"Not at all... And actually he hates piercings...But at least he's gotten better at giving people a chance..." Katia says quietly, carefully working on taking out the troublesome piercing. "Thank you for risking even getting near him." She continues softly.

Shadow watched her intently. "You're worth risking it for..."  he whispered gently. His knees began to tremble as the past hours rushed through him, though he brought himself back to the present moment, to simply be content with Kat yanking a metal bar out of his face, so he could look at her again.

Kat blushed lightly at the words, finally removing the metal bar a moment later. She wasn't sure what to say, caught a bit off guard by the sweet words.

Shadow smiled gently down at her, grazing a hand over the loose skin over his eye. "Thanks..." he said quietly. He wrapped his arms around her once more, simply breathing her in. "Katia I love you so friking much...you don't even know...I was so scared I would never get to hold you...like this...terrified..." he rambled, clinging to her.

Katia suddenly hugged him very tightly, burying her face in his neck. "I missed you so, so much... And I started thinking that I may not see you again... or worse... I started getting really scared in the end Shadow..." She said quietly, though drowsiness had started to seep into her brain, her mind calmer in his embrace.

Shadow pecked the top of her head and held her for a moment. "I know. I felt everything. Not exactly a perk of being a looper." He whispered in her ear. "But it's okay now. Everything's gonna be okay." He said quietly. After what felt like an eternity Shadow was able to bring himself to let go. He sighed as he looked at her, his eyes half open. "I'm going to bet Five buck neither of us has had a decent nights sleep in a while. You need some rest love."
